Online Resources
www.violinmasterclass.com
This is the web site of Professor Kurt Sassmannshaus who teaches at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In addition to practice methods and demos, you can watch video recordings of performances by students. The young violinists featured do not necessarily aspire to a professional career in music, but they are all dedicated to regular daily practice and public performances. They do it for the love of music and the violin, and because they are committed to applying themselves so that they can achieve their musical potential. Notice that these kids also play sports and have other interests, so it is possible and necessary to find the time to practice well every day when you chose to learn to play the violin.
